Thanks for clearing that 1 up GSI boy!

If your car was designed 4 4 star/LRP , you will get better performance running on it rather than unleaded. I had mine changed to unleaded, and fould the carb was over fueling, which ment I wasn't getting the performance I should have, so I went back to LRP.

After 85' all vauxhalls had hardened vave seats, so unleaded should be fine. Ignition timing will have to be changed by about 3 degrees as the lower octane rated fuel doesn`t resist pre-ignition as well(not good). You will get more power out of LRP or super unleaded as the point of detination is at a better part of the cylinders cycle. I thought 1991 sr were on unleaded anyway? mine was until I modded the engine and changed to LRP. See this months fast car for their feature on fuels.
