does the insurance go up loads when changing the engine?
for example 1.6 in to a 1.4
i know tax etc will go up

You can expect it to go up by at least the difference between a 1.4 and 1.6 model. From what I can gather, get a quote for the donor vehicle, and thats a good indication of the ballpark figure.

Imo, a quote for a nova GTE will be less than one for a nova with a 1.6 gte engine. Because at the end of the day its an engine conversion, so classed as a modded engine.

But it aint a GTE tho, its a 1L trip shell.

im 21 and got an sri 1.4, im after a bigger engine, maybe 1.6, i got a quote for a gsi 650 tpft with my boyfriend as a named driver (26) and for the sri 1.4 it's 650 fully comp. anyway here in my situation whos put a gsi engine in there 1.4 sri?

just had a quote from flux, ?900 tpft for 1.6 gsi conversion into 1.4 sri shell, be alot easier if i just got the gsi but i got a good shell at mo.
