Scooby Vent!!!

I have just purchased a Scooby Vent from RGM and want to cut it into the bonnet because it is a functional style vent.

Does anyone know how to do this, there is no place to pot-rivet into!

Any ideas?????

Don't use Pot Rivets it will look shit

If you look under the bonnet, I have cut the support frame to the inner side of the weld spots.(Don't cut them out completely or the bonnet will lose shape)

Next the bonnet was cut and glued in with strong glue - mastik(don't know if that is spealt right, smoothed in and painted.

The only trouble I am having is the paint keeps cracking when it is take out of the paint oven!!

Hope this helps but find a decent paint shop who know exactly what u want
