Can ne one tell me if there is ne different between the mk1 and mk2 Front valenec
coz i have had my baby repaired after a crash. I had a whole new front end fitted (mk2 j reg)
and i have huge gaps between the bonnet - grill, and grill - Bummper, coz the bumper cant go ne
higher coz it hit the bottom of the valance but it should go about 1/2 inch higher. :(

Ne help thanked!

nope there isnt a diffrence
actually fitting a mk2 front end isnt that hard but lineing up all the pannels is a complete ball ache most ov the time, porbs start becuse ov the way the front end id held together.
u look at a proper mint uncrashed gsi there will be a bigger gap between the grill and bumper than 90% ov copys. most copys have a tendency for the grill to bow down in the middle (espesh if you have on gsi spec carrier bar)
its a lot harder to set them up than most peeps think
it sounds like you reapir job has been shody, if it is take it back and telll em to sort it as you can spend hours lineing the front ends up to look mint

I fitted a new front valence etc to mine this weekend cos I had a crack in the x member. I managed to pick it up for less than ?50.
