ok i want to record a mp3 on my dads computer

thing is is gona be from my decks to his sound card the lead is no probs
what the prob is i got this utillity to sample large peices ov music, i was told to sample itin as a wave file clean it up and convert to mp3.
now i just done 10 secs ov wave and its 6mb ish

now my mix is gonna be 60 mins worth!
so thats fucked that idea up bigstyle

does anybody know ov any utillitys that will either take sound from sound card and burn straight onto cd drive or convert straight into mp3 so it doesnt need a 10000000mb computer?
cheers boys

Try doing your mix and see what happens. I think that it writes it to your HD as it records and doesnt take up much of your ram.
I used spin dopctor from adaptec

ten seconds of wav. shouldn't be 6mb. no chance. if i was you i'd just do the mix and worry about the size of it later... as long as yer dads got a few gigz of hard drive space free it'll be fine. Just compress to MP3 after and delete the original wav. file.
