Goin on mums insurance!

I have a 1.4 luxe and got a quote on my mums insurance for 350 quid tpf&t thats with maximum no claims and everything, but i was told by my dad i could not take the insurance out because my mum is insured on her corsa sport and is using her max no claims on that, basically he is saying that you cant use your no claims on two policys or two different cars, is this true because i am gonna be spending mega bucks if it is!

having said that, *some* companies do mirror NCB if you have more than one car insured with them (HIC do on both mine). Might be worth investigating if your mums current company will do this and add you as a second driver?

But as Will said.... go under your own name if possible. 'tis always a good idea to start building up ur ncb as early as possible.
