I don't own a machine polisher.

Thanks, Dan.

:( i dont think that'll polish out mate, it would leave the lacqure very thin if it did and probably end up flacking

go and stab the fookers!

I'd love to but I have no idea who it was, parked up outside a mates that I don't normally visit.

Right now I'm reading the touchup paint+wetsanding+machine polishing type threads on detailingworld.

2000 grit wet and dry, rub it back a tiny bit with the paper wet, then polish it with diesel then t cut over it, always works for my sisters flip painted rover

2000?!

id start at 4000 wet and dry mate, use a machine polisher with a compound to bring up the defect, and a finishing pad/refining polish to take the shine back, then wax it! if you have no idea what your doing let a pro do it,a garage will just tell you to respray it,search your area for a local detailer that does wet sanding.

aye, ive always used 2000 depending on how deep obviously, the deeper the scrape, the courser the paper :)

if it disappears when wet then you could polish it out if not I would buy a very thin brush and fill in with laquer
