I quite like the look of a Nova with headlamp washers, looks a bit more executive and somewhat aggressive if you know what I mean.

How easy is it to hook up headlamp washers? Does the bumper have pre-marked areas on the underside where they go? Do I need a different washer bottle or can it be plumbed into the current one?

Car is a MK1 by the way think it will complete the look fo the front end especially with the snowplough :D

Any gen on this topic will be appreciated.

If you've got a twin outlet washer bottle, you can use the pump that would operate the rear washer for the headlight washers instead.

You could even T-piece it from the windscreen washer pipe so the headlamps are sprayed at the same time as the windscreen.

I was thinking the same. IIRC headlamp washers are meant to operate when headlamps are on together with the windscreen. I dont really mind if it operates everytime the windscreen washers are in use.

So just a T piece onto the existing from pump and running some pipes to the washers.

Cool.

Does the bumper have pre-marked cut outs?

Do ı only need to use Nova jets or can it be from other Vaux's?

Don't know about pre-marked cut outs, but use corsa jets as they are twin nozzles jobbies.

nova mk1 headlanp washers are pods that sit infront of the bumper, similar to a mk1 astra gte, they have a separate washer bottle that sits on the drivers side inner wing(where the air box goes on gte/gsi) and they use a high pressure pump .
I dont think that the washer pump motor would be strong enough to spray these, but you could give it a go, but might be better to fit them for show only

Hmm... If I go ahead with it then I will try out the stock pump ıf its not upto scratch then will try get hold of a uprated one.

If you could get it to work it would be good. Im planning on fitting some to my mk2. Ive still got some mk1 headlight washers from one of my old novas for a rainy day.

You have no hope of finding a set - good luck

Windscreen washer pump doesn't have enough pressure, you need a proper bottle and high pressure pump, I have a bottle but need to track down a mk2 astra pump set up

Hmm may have to look on eBay to see if I can get hold of a proper set. Most probably from the continent.

Dunno mate, seems to be a rare mod.

IIRC mk3 Astra GSi's had them. Get a set off one of those and job jobbed.

mk 3 astra ones are ok for the mk 2 but nowhere to mount them on a mk1

I don't think it would be impossible to make some outriggers or modify some from a car plentiful (http://fp.singlesolution.f9.co.uk/images/After%20Headlamp%20Washer%20Addition%20(25-01-03)%202.jpg) in scrapyards (http://fp.singlesolution.f9.co.uk/images/After%20Headlamp%20Washer%20Addition%20(25-01-03)%204.jpg) to fit.

See what you are saying. Will have to keep an eye out for these bits. Would be well trick to get them ones that pop up and spray then pop back down.
