I've got an engine from a 1988 Astra, its a 13S 1.3 ohc.

Theres a sensor or something just above the sump, right beside the crank pulleys. Its a spade connection, its definately factory.

Is this a crank sensor? Or something to do with oil pressure?

I have a pic on my phone but I can't upload it to this computer, could upload it later though.

The car has a very slight hesitation sometimes, wondering if this is linked? Its not a very noticeable hesitation.

Cheers.

On an old 1300, it certainly wont be the crank sensor. I think its an oil pressure switch which basically illuminates the oil pressure warning light on the dash if pressure gets too low. Not linked I shouldnt think.

Temp gauge isn't working either lol , at least it can't give me any bad news!
